Qualifying tournaments have been arranged across the state. The Great Lakes / Allegheny Region Qualifier will be held on June 1 - 2, 2002 at the Bauerstown Fields. . Entry deadline is May 28, 2002. Those interested in participating in the Great Lakes / Allegheny Region Qualifier should contact Paul Rush at 412-486-5007. Those teams from other areas of the state interested in entering other qualifiers in other sections of the state should contact their local coordinator for times and places.. Those unable to reach their local coordinator should call Dean Amick at 814/466-7868. The Entry Fee is $200

2 teams from each qualifier in the 12&U, and 18&U age divisions qualify for the State Games
4 teams from each qualifier in the 14&U, and 16&U age divisions qualify for the State Games
Keystone State Games will be held in Drifton, Pa. July 31 to August 4th, 2002.
The winners will advance to the 2003 National Games.

Keystone Games Information

The ASA of PA will direct the softball competition for the Keystone Games in 2002. Dean Amick, ASA of PA President and District 8 Commissioner, will once again serve as the ASA of PA Director for the Keystone Games

The Keystone Games will be played on July 31 to August 4. In Drifton, PA.


Qualifying competition will be held in four regions with two teams qualifying from each region in the 12 & Under and 18 & Under age division. Four teams will qualify from each region for the 14 & Under and 16 & Under age divisions. The qualifying tournament will be conducted by the Regional Sports Coordinator in each region.

No changes in rosters will be permitted after qualifying. Pick-Up players will be permitted according to ASA rules..


Two (2) teams from each 12 & Under and 18 & Under qualifier and four (4) teams from each 14 & Under and 16 & Under Qualifier will compete in the Keystone State Games which will be held in Drifton, Pa. on July 31 to August. 4, 2002. The winners will qualify to advance to the 2003 National Games.
